At Wayfare Travel, earning significant cash back on your hotel stays is straightforward. When you use our Wayfare Booking ID for direct bookings with our trusted hotel partners, they pay Wayfare Travel a standard commission after your trip is completed and confirmed.

Here’s where the magic happens for you: We believe you deserve the primary benefit. So, Wayfare Travel shares the lion’s share of that commission – typically between 50% and 90% – directly back with you as your Roaming Reward!

For example: If Wayfare Travel receives a $100 commission from a hotel for your stay, and our Roaming Reward payout rate for that particular partner service is 80% (meaning we share 80% of our $100 commission with you), you get $80 cash back!

Your Roaming Rewards Payout: How & When You Get Paid

Our Payout Schedule:

Wayfare Travel pays out all your approved Roaming Rewards quarterly. Here’s how our payment cycle works:

If Wayfare Travel Receives & Processes Partner Commission Between:	Your Roaming Reward Will Be Paid Out On:
January 1st - March 31st	April 15th
April 1st - June 30th	July 15th
July 1st - September 30th	October 15th
October 1st - December 31st	January 15th (of the following year)

Your Payout Methods:

You can choose your preferred way to receive your cash back in your Account Settings on the Member Dashboard. We offer the following options:

Receive funds directly to your PayPal account. Just provide your PayPal email.

Get paid quickly via Venmo. Provide your Venmo username.

Securely deposited into your bank account. We use Mercury Bank for ACH processing and will guide you through setup.

A traditional check mailed to your preferred address.

You’ll typically receive an email notification when your payout is on its way!

Need Your Savings Sooner?

We also offer the option to request payouts more frequently than quarterly for a small processing fee: 2.5% of the reward amount or a $5.00 minimum (USD), whichever is greater. (Contact support to inquire about this option).

Your Roaming Rewards Questions Answered

How are the Roaming Reward percentages determined for each hotel partner?

Your Roaming Reward is 50-90% of the commission Wayfare Travel receives from that hotel partner for your booking. Estimated rates for our hotel partners are on our Partners Page. The final amount depends on the actual commission we get.

Is my Roaming Reward calculated on my entire hotel bill, including food and extras?

Typically, for hotels, Roaming Rewards are based on the pre-tax room rate and exclude incidentals (food, spa, etc.). This is partner-dependent. Stays booked entirely with hotel points or free nights generally do not qualify. See partner details or our main FAQ for more.

Why does it take time to receive my payout after I travel?

After your trip, our hotel partners need 30-90 days to verify your booking and pay commission to Wayfare Travel. We process your Roaming Reward for the next quarterly payout once we receive that confirmed commission.

What if I forget to use our Wayfare Booking ID for my hotel booking?

Unfortunately, if our Wayfare Booking ID isn’t correctly applied to your hotel booking at the time of reservation, as shown in our Scribe guides, we won’t receive a commission from the hotel partner. This means, in most cases, no Roaming Reward can be paid for that stay. It’s always important to remember to use it when booking with our hotel partners!
